Burmese Version I found this wonderful writing at the Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, Burma (Myanmar) giving in detail the ten fulfilments of the Buddha. It is difficult for an ordinary person to live up to all ten of these fulfilments but it does not mean that we cannot try. The road to spiritual development is a long one and we have to try to develop each virtue as much as possible. We must remember that the Buddhas have to practise these virtues many many world cycles to become an Enlightened Buddha. Remember what our elders told us a long time ago, "when rain drops fall into the pot, it finally becomes full". Never underestimate the power of sustained effort in your spiritual development work. In the Jatakas (stories of Buddha's life), there is a story for each parami. For example Vesantara Jataka is the story which examplifies the virtue of charity. King Vesantara was banished from the kingdom for donating the white elephant. Then there is the story of Mahawsahta, the Minister who was noted for his wisdom. This is the story which explains about the virtue of education, knowledge and wisdom.
